Colorado Cabin Renovation

It’s here! I finally finished our home tour!

Brace yourselves, it’s going to be a long post but I am going to tag everything! It’s been a long time coming so I will just get straight to it! We bought our house back in April and worked on renovations for a month before we actually moved in. It would not have been possible without some of our favorite brands being willing to partner with us! One in particular was Floor and Decor which set the foundation for the whole house! It was such a blast getting to make our place our own and we are so excited to share it with you!

BEFORE PHOTOS

When we bought the house we definitely had our work cut out for us. We knew we wanted to basically start completely over. We had looked at a few different homes outside of Denver but none stuck out to us quite like this one. The location was ideal for us as we knew we wanted some land. We spent the first week after we closed on the house ripping out all the unwanted stuff like carpet/tile, upper kitchen cabinets etc. We found a contractor who was honestly the best! He was referred to us by a friend and said he could do all of the work in a month. Honestly, we did not believe him as we had heard that renovations typically take a lot longer than you think. Somehow he pulled it off with time to spare! A true miracle! He filled us in on certain things that we could do ourselves to help us cut costs in as many places as possible. Below I’ll share my sources for everything and hope you guys enjoy it!

MOVE IN DAY!

When choosing our flooring from Floor and Decor I knew I wanted something that was light in color and would last forever. I’ve dreamt of having hardwood floors that would get better with time. I also knew I wanted white oak and something that didn’t have any hint of yellow in it. We used a light grey oak wire brushed solid harwood floor like this one throughout the whole main floor. In the bathroom we decided to go with a stone like marble tile. I wanted something that felt very italian with a matte finish and decided to go with this one.
