Australia is everything I thought it would be and more. We only got to visit for about a week but I truly enjoyed all of it. We ate our weight in acai bowls and enjoyed all of the ocean views.

back to GUIDES

The Old Claire Hotel- This place was a gem to stay at. It had so much character and our room was amazing! It was located right across the street from Spice Alley which is a little alleyway filled with street food that is so delicious it will blow your mind!

We had the opportunity to travel to Sydney, Australia a few weeks back on a last minute work trip and were pleasantly surprised at what we experienced! We've always wanted to explore Oceania, so when this opportunity presented itself we said yes without hesitation! 17.5 hours later (Direct), we landed in Sydney.

We only had a few days in the city before heading to Byron Bay but what we did experience though was incredible food, amazing people and a thriving culture! We would definitely like to go back to Australia and experience more of this wonderful place!

Orchard Street (Bondi) - Go here for incredible elixers and smoothies.

Porch and Parlour (Bondi) - Great lunch spot near the beach.

Icebergs (Bondi) - Upscale restaurant at the famous Bondi pool.

Creperie Suzette (The Rocks) - Adorable creperie for breakfast or lunch with sweet and savory options.

Bare Naked Bowls (Manly) - This place has beautiful smoothie bowls! You have to at least have one while you are in Sydney.

Sydney Opera House - Neither one of us are much for Opera but at least go check out the building!

Take the lovely walk from Bondi to Coogee - This was such a nice way to spend a few hours on our first full day in Sydney.

Eat lots of Acai Bowls - Need we say more?

Bondi Icebergs Pool - Just do it! You can be dropped off really close to it.

Walk around the Bondi Area - This part of town was our favorite for sure! There were tons of great restaurants, coffee shops and clothing stores!

Sydney Zoo - We got to see koalas, wallabies and a platypus! This was a fun way to see some of Australias native animals.

Byron Bay, Australia. What a place. Think VW vans everywhere you look, smoothie bowls, fresh juices and great coffee at every corner, hippies giving out free mango smoothies, music and dancing on the beach every night and some killer shopping. We decided since we were already going to be in Australia on a work trip, we might as well make a detour over to Byron Bay for a little vacation. An hour flight from Sydney landed us in this amazing town full of all things unique, original and totally amazing.

Life seemed to operate at a compellety different pace here. Nobody seemed to be in a rush, everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming to us and people just seemed to be enjoying life in a fuller way than most places we've been too. We truly wished we could of stayed longer to the point that we started looking into apartments for rent in the area. If you ever find yourself in Australia, do yourself a favor and go spend a while in this super chill beach town.

The Bower Byron Bay - Located just a short bike ride from Byron, this hotel is the perfect oasis. They pay such attention to detail and everything smells and looks amazing! If you are going to Byron I would highly recommend this spot!

Byron Bay

Bayleaf Cafe - Tastiest coconut iced coffee ever!

The Byron Bay General Store - This adorable spot is located right next door to The Bower Byron Bay a little bit off the beaten path from the main part of town. They have amazing acai bowls and the environment is spot on.

The Mez Club - This was the very first place we checked out once we got to Byron. They have amazing drinks, hummus spreads and it's adorable!

Balcony - Oysters and amazing seafood.

Tree House - Just a quick 10 minute bike ride and practically on the beach is this gem of a cafe.

Harvest - Located in the town of Newrybar, they source all of their food from the area and give you a guide to understand what you are eating. This place was amazing! I wish we could of gone multiple times!

Rowie - Sarah got the cutest jumpsuit from here that she then wore every day we were there. Currently wearing it right now as I write this. Definitely check out this store if your a lady.

Yoli and Otis - We wanted one of everything they had in here. Go give them a follow to be seriously inspired!

St. Agni - Not only does this store have some of the greatest shoes ever but their attention to simple design is on point.

Epokhe - If you find yourself in Byron and forgot your sunglasses or just simply need another pair, this is your spot.

Ride bikes all around the town and to the beach.
Listen to musicians every night by the beach.
Eat, eat, eat...drink, drink, drink!
Go see the lighthouse. Relax!
