The Old Claire Hotel- This place was a gem to stay at. It had so much character and our room was amazing! It was located right across the street from Spice Alley which is a little alleyway filled with street food that is so delicious it will blow your mind!
We had the opportunity to travel to Sydney, Australia a few weeks back on a last minute work trip and were pleasantly surprised at what we experienced! We've always wanted to explore Oceania, so when this opportunity presented itself we said yes without hesitation! 17.5 hours later (Direct), we landed in Sydney.
We only had a few days in the city before heading to Byron Bay but what we did experience though was incredible food, amazing people and a thriving culture! We would definitely like to go back to Australia and experience more of this wonderful place!

Sydney Opera House - Neither one of us are much for Opera but at least go check out the building!
Take the lovely walk from Bondi to Coogee - This was such a nice way to spend a few hours on our first full day in Sydney.
Eat lots of Acai Bowls - Need we say more?
Bondi Icebergs Pool - Just do it! You can be dropped off really close to it.
Walk around the Bondi Area - This part of town was our favorite for sure! There were tons of great restaurants, coffee shops and clothing stores!
Sydney Zoo - We got to see koalas, wallabies and a platypus! This was a fun way to see some of Australias native animals.
Relax!
Byron Bay, Australia. What a place. Think VW vans everywhere you look, smoothie bowls, fresh juices and great coffee at every corner, hippies giving out free mango smoothies, music and dancing on the beach every night and some killer shopping. We decided since we were already going to be in Australia on a work trip, we might as well make a detour over to Byron Bay for a little vacation. An hour flight from Sydney landed us in this amazing town full of all things unique, original and totally amazing.
Life seemed to operate at a compellety different pace here. Nobody seemed to be in a rush, everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming to us and people just seemed to be enjoying life in a fuller way than most places we've been too. We truly wished we could of stayed longer to the point that we started looking into apartments for rent in the area. If you ever find yourself in Australia, do yourself a favor and go spend a while in this super chill beach town.

Ride bikes all around the town and to the beach.
Listen to musicians every night by the beach.
